The Bangalore School of Music sees a world where music unites. Established in 1987, we've enjoyed promoting a deeper understanding and appreciation of music.To us, music is a cause, it is a commitment. Like any other school, the music we teach helps instill discipline, confidence and a sense of commitment. To some it is a powerful channel to express emotions. And for many of our students, music has become a profession or passion that has really taken them places.

We share the experience of music with our students through outreach programs, seminars, concerts and workshops, enriched by the support and participation of renowned global and national musicians.

The BSM attracts a young and enthusiastic group of students. From school and college students to professionals who've always wanted to play an instrument or sing. While most of our instructors are young and enthusiastic, the students benefit from the experience and guidance of those of our instructors who are young at heart! Together, they keep the school alive with music and awash with passion.

Teaching classical music, both eastern and western, our students train for the London Board & Progressive Music Examinations. A dedicated group of 30 teachers train over 500 young people each year. Musical training is given free to nearly 260 children from economically weaker sections.
